Eric Steinman continues to set new trends of dramatic and technical excellence in both his commercial and new media work. Whether it's an arch, offbeat comedy spot, a dialogue-driven, heartfelt family story or a smart visual concept, Eric's care in casting and passion for timing, performance, detail and design can be seen throughout his extensive body of work.

Eric began his career on the agency side in San Francisco and New York, creating award-winning campaigns for AT&T, HBO and Pepsi, moving into directing when the creative head of Chiat-Day/NY suggested he give it a try. As a director, his clients have included Sony, Mazda, Visa, Citigold and LG as well as award-winning PSAs for Big Brothers of America and the Partnership for a Drug Free America. In Asia, he has shot for international brands like LG, Brands and Astro.

Always eager to explore new creative possibilities, his recent spots for Astro Mobile were multiple award winners; a Silver winner at the 2008 London International Awards, Gold & Silver Lotuses for film craft at the 2008 Adfest, a Bronze Pencil at Award 2008 as well as a couple of Kanchils at the Malaysian awards in 2007. The Astromobile “Bus” tvc was also short-listed at the 2008 Cannes festival. In addition to his recent European honors and numerous other awards, his work remains a part of the AICP/MoMA collection in New York City.
